Heidi.
That was the first thought that came to Nathan's mind when he saw Linderman heal the plant. He could heal Heidi's injury from six months ago. He could see her joy at being able to walk again. The looks that she gave him where she said, "This is your fault. You were driving the car and you failed me" would be gone because he would have given her life back.
But at what cost? He would have to agree to Linderman's terms. He could make her healing part of their deal.
He glanced at the painting of him as president. Was that such a bad future?
A future bought at the cost of millions of lives.
At his brother's life.
Peter.
