Aug. 27th, 2010 10:44 amI finally got a breast binder after hemming and hawing and a minor mishap of sorts. My parents don't know. But I'll deal with that when it comes. It's like a tee-shirt, well an undershirt actually, and it's very comfortable. More comfortable than a bra. I don't know if it's the right size though, or I just have big boobs because I can still seem some of my chest when I wear it. I don't even know if it looks good.
But it felt good wearing it.
To think about yes.

Date: 2010-08-28 05:03 am (UTC)Good on you getting a binder. I can see worrying about it "working" before you go out in public.
If you're really concerned, take some comparison photos.
Put on a normal bra, and a relatively tight shirt - one that clearly shows your boobs and curves - and take a photo from the side, to measure "stick out"-ness. Optionally from the front as well.
Then swap the bra for the binder, wear a comparably tight shirt (it may not be the same shirt) and do another shot, same angles.
When doing these, it's best to be in the exact same place, and have some way to see the size. For instance, back against the wall (ensures same place), and striped wallpaper or the like.
Now you have completely objective before-and-afters, so you can really see what difference it makes.
You can then share the photos with me or others - people you know will give you honest feedback, and you don't have to worry about being embarrassed.
This is a big step, I'm proud of you.
