1. Reply to this post, and I will pick five of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon squee. Whoo!

Kitty in a box. I had taken a picture of Chaucer in a box. I was getting ready to move and he was being helpful by sitting in the box and preventing me from putting things in said box. Obviously I put this up. And obviously this led to comments about Schroeder's cat in a box experiment. Veet, who's LJ user name I can't remember at this moment then took it upon herself to make a icon in regards to this. The folks are from Heroes, which makes it even sillier.

A quote from a Lost episode. Locke had taken Ben's daughter hostage and hid in a closet. One of Ben's minions came in and Ben talked to him before sending the minion on his way. Locke wanted to know if Ben had given the minion any secret instructions because earlier Ben had done that. This was Ben's response. I found it hilarious. Veet made it for me too.

It's Terry Pratchett with a duck on his head! There's a character in his books called the Duckman who is pretty sane, except for the duck. See, he doesn't realize he has a duck on his head. So, whenever anyone asks him about the duck he goes "what duck?". This is my "crazy icon".

From a Star Trek Deep Space Nine episode where Sisko finds himself in the past -I think the fifties or sixties as a science fiction writer for a magazine. Lots of discrimination. And he sees a drawing of Deep Space Nine and is all "Wait a minute, I belong there". They think he's crazy and lock him up in a padded room, while he keeps on writing. This is just him banging his head against the wall. A good old fashioned *headdesk* But on the wall.

This one I actually made my self. *GASP* Feanor is one of Tolkien's elves from the Simarillion. He was one of the major players and really a sort of do what he says or else fellow. For a while on [livejournal.com profile] deletrious I was writing little stories in the comments, where he would kill of the Sue. Feanor of course hates Sues, so they should die now. Feanor hates you. You should die now. It's my aggravated at things icon.

I always thought your *deaddesk* icon was of Foreman from House. I think it was because of the bald head (though he wasn't always bald).

Nope. Deep Space Nine. Poor Sisko.

Your icons remind me of how much I fail at geek. *shamefaced*

Heh, I misread that as "Greek" at first, and I was like "What Greek? There's no Greek in any of his icons ..."

Well you reference four TV shows which have claim to geekiness, and I watch none of them.

Four? I count only three. Do you mean the Terry Pratchett books as four?

And there are other ways of being geeky.

Lost, Heroes, Trek, and . . . okay, the last one's a book.

True. Very true. I am a British sci-fi-flavoured geek.

Here. How about this one?

DOCTOR! *glomp*

Hmm, I need a Who icon.

Also, that icon reminds me of this fic. The Doctor needs to battle LOLcats. It'd be like Star Trek and the Tribbles.

Fair warning--I am so stealing your Meme icon! (With of course, it's heritage intact: hiddengrotto to charliesmum to kippurbird to moi.)

Is it not the most awesome thing? Steal away!

Just remember that lemming suicide is purely memetic in nature; they only go off of cliffs when Disney shoves them.

Wow. Thanks. I was just being jokingly egotistical. *laughs*

Just wondering, did you accidentally miss-spell Deleterius in the link, or is the journal you're linking to related to Mary Sues?

*stops being annoying*

Nice icons though. The Pratchett one is awesome.

No, the journal is related to Mary Sues. It's an awesome one and gives me much pleasure reading it.

Actually, I believe the Sisko icon is from the second episode in season 7, Image in the Sand. Benny Russel wasn't locked up in Far Beyond the Stars.
