Hey look! Fishies!
Hee.
So, yeah. This is my first photoshop drawing I've ever done. I realize the table is floating, but then again there are two fish outside of the bowl, so I don't think that should be too much of a problem.
And yes, that one fish up in the top left may in fact be on its last fins. :O
The assignment was to 'copy' a picture of a fishbowl and the fish to learn how to do certain things and brushes. It's a lot to take in but I think I did okay.
goodbye Fergison

So... Fergison died.
Finally. I guess. I don't know.
Went to the vet on Tuesday and got most of the anchor worms off of him. Got a tablet thing to put in his tank to help with the infection. He was doing good yesterday. And this morning when I put in another tablet.
At least I thought he was.
But when I got home from work... today.
Yeah.
I feel kinda stupid getting all upset about a goldfish dying. But I had him for ten years. Over maybe. Ten years. I got him for a dime and he was smaller than my thumb. Just a tiny feeder fish.
Ten years though. That's a long time and he did keep me company. It feels weird.
He's gone.
Really and utterly.

Oct. 21st, 2009 08:15 amFerguson is back.
See, I was feeling lonely without him, so I thought about getting another fish. Two fish this time. My mom, wanting to make sure that all was well with him before I came back to the store. Make sure he wasn't dead or anything. While at the store she discovered that Fergi wasn't doing so well. Laying listlessly on the bottom of his new tank and half on his side. Not wanting him to die friendless and alone, she got him back.
I come home and spend the next two hours giving his tank a good scrubbing and put him back. And when we put the plastic bag into the tank, he starts getting all excited, like he recognized the place. That he knew he was back home.
Clearly, he is the fish that came back the very next day.

Moving to a new home
Oct. 18th, 2009 11:00 pmI gave Ferguson away today. He was my goldfish, I've had him for ten years. The thing was, he'd out grown his tank (five inches long!) and I don't have the room oar the money for a new one. I took him down to the aquarium store and said good bye. It's weird. I mean ten years with Fergi. He started out as a tiny ten cent feeder fish, smaller than my thumb and ended up as big as my hand.
He survived a lot too. I called him my Phoenix fish.
One time he looked like he was about to die, he was doing the sort of floating up to the top thing and his tail was all ratty. We had to go on vacation for two weeks and we figured we were going to come back to a dead fish. But, no. We came back home as he was perfectly healthy, if having shed most of his raggedy tail.
Another time I found him one morning laying on the floor and I thought he was dead. I don't know how long he was laying there. But in a weird autistic moment, I left him and went to ahve breakfast. He was dead, I thought, and I didn't want to touch him because he was a dead fish. I passed by about a half hour later and he'd moved! He was still alive! So I put him back into the tank and he was fine!
Amazing!
He also kills fish. I won a goldfish at a carnival and I put it into the tank with Fergi. Some time later, about a day, the second fish was gone. I got a catfish to help clean the tank, and about a month later there was half a catfish.
His is a great fish and I hope he finds a good home. I know he won't be known as Ferguson anymore, but still, I hope he lives a good ten years longer. ... actually apparently according to wikianswers they can live over 176 years and the world record is 44 years. So, theoretically, I could have had him for the rest of my life, and then some.
