kippurbirdI got a kit on how to do illuminated lettering. It's such a spazing great thing. I've always loved that sort of thing and now I have help doing it. And I've already produced a page. It's a title page for my Novel. It's not very good. The lettering's pretty shitty and stuff like that. But it's a start.
Sadness today. Shelly, my dad's cousin and my mom were watching Chaucer in the backyard when Shelly noticed that he was staring at something. She goes and takes a look and sees this bird laying on the ground unable to stand. Both its legs were broken. And I mean broken. You could see bone sticking out from the skin. They were just sort of hanging there. We took it to the 24 hour vet near the house. One of the RVTs took a look at it. She said that she didn't think anything could be done for it. I kinda agreed. What with the legs haning like that. It looked like the blood vessels had been completely severed. They put the bird to sleep for us. It was a pretty bird. I think it was a shore bird, by looking at its legs and beak. My guess is that a hawk got to it and then dropped it. That would explain how its legs were broken like they were.
