Sep. 1st, 2005 07:06 pmMy poor Kitty. When ever Carrot (the neighbor's cat) comes into the back yard and Chaucer's out there, Chaucer goes bounding over looking like he's saying, "WWWHHEEEE! Another Kitty! Do you want to play?!" And Carrot is all like, "Get away from me." And Chaucer is sooo sad because he wants to play and Carrot doesn't. A couple of times Carrot has even pounced on Chaucer, hissing. Chaucer doesn't seem to get the hint though.
Worldly thoughts for the day:
I've seen several reports that say that Global Warning is the cause for the increase in the storms in the Atlantic. And that Global Warming could cause El Nino to become permentant which could wipe out the Amazon rain forests in about a year which would cause an increase in El Nino activity. Things like that. And yet there are people who are saying that, well, maybe Global Warming won't really happen, or maybe it won't be as bad as we think it will be, so we shouldn't do anything until we know.
And I'm thinking Wouldn't it be better to prevent it in the first place? We know what could be causing the global warming. And we know how we could potentially stop it. So why not advert the disasture before it strikes.
I mean it's like waiting for the "Big One" to hit California before saying, "You know maybe we should do something about earthquakes".
Is this me just expecting people to be reasonable and inteligent?
