Busy couple of days

kippurbirdHad a lovely new years. Went up to San Louis Obismo (or however you spell it) and saw elephant seals. Live and wild ones on the beach with babies. It was really neat if cold and wet and windy. We saw a friend of my father's and where the Monarch Butterflies rested in Pismo beach.
And today was sad. We found out that my dad's one hundred and one year old aunt died last night. We just saw her over the summer. I'm kinda glad that we did. My father really wanted to see her after his mother died. Though it is sad that she's gone now.
She was really nice. She made my brother fresh spaghetti and meatballs when we went to her apartment once, a long time ago. Always very perky and nice.
