Well, I'm back, as Samwise said. And boy am I back.

The trip was great.

We flew into Honolulu and went straight to Pearl Harbor. That's becuase my mom's been wanting to see that since she learned about it in school. We saw the Arizona, and that was neat and very... solomn. There was a clock that they recovered that had stopped at the explosion's time, which reminded me of a lot of clocks durning the Northridge quake that did that. We went out to the monument and looked down at the ship and at the names on the wall. There were names on a bench of surviors who had died and were burried in the Arizona. It must have been a very... life altering experince for them to want that.

We stayed in Waikiki and then went to the Capital the next day. There was no security what so ever there. We walked right into the govenor's office and got a look around. I even stole a magazine from the office. My mom left her a note because she's Jewish and we're Jewish.

The next day we flew to Maui. We got this really nice room... condo... thingy. First day there we went up really early (for us) to this crater on the Island, the shortest road up ten thousand feet and took bikes down it. It was great! I managed to beat my dad and my brother down the mountain. Funniest thing heard, the bus driver told us about this couple he met who were arguing about which side of the Island was on the Pacific and which was on the Atlantic.

The second day we went Snorkling. That was amazing! I never went snorkling before. I was scared to death to do it, because I have this big fear of going into water where I can't stand up. And here I was jumping into the ocean. But I did it. And it was WONDERFUL! I saw all sorts of fishies and turtles and dolphins! And I was sooo autistic, mumbling to myself "fishies, fishies," when no one but myself could hear me, since I was in the water by myself. My poor mother got sea sick and threw up in the ocean. Five times.

Third day we drove the Hana Highway, which is supposed to be the most beautiful drive in the world. It was also the twistiest drive in the world. It had fifty one lane bridges and hair pin turns that were practically define the defintion of the word. And on one side there'd be sheer cliff up and on the other side was a long drop down. But we stopped in a place where I got to go to this fresh water pool and swin under a waterfall, which is something I've always wanted to do. Though I missplaced my water shoes and had to go bare foot over a bunch of sharp rocks. And we had lunch at a beach with BLACK sand. That was SO neat! I'd never seen that before. My poor mother, once again, got sick (car sick this time) on the way back from Hana. We drove back at night and I saw SOOO many stars. And the Milky Way! I've never seen the Milky way before! It was so beautiful. I wish I could have watched it forever. But we couldn't. We had to get mom off the road and back to the condo.

Fourth day we rented some snorkling equipment from Snorkle Bobs. We went to this beach and went snorkling from the shore. It was amazing! I saw puffer fish and eels and every thing! I then went and did my stupid thing for the vacation. I tried to pick up a sea urchin. I got my palm shot with spines. It hurt. After some dithering it was decided to ask the front desk at the condo... hotel thingy for advice. They said pee on it or use viniger. We used viniger. It disolved some of the spines, but then later that night we had to go to the Urgent care and had the rest of them removed. The doctor said, when I complained about it being awfully tender, that most people didn't wait twelve hours to have forigin objects removed from their hands. I also managed to completely sun burn my back. I forgot to put sunblock on it, of all things. Remembered my neck though. It's so tender and raw that it hurts to wear a bra and what not.

Fifth day was going home day. We had the red eye back to LA (it was origianlly to Salt Lake City and then LA but we switched flights) the flight left at ten, we woke up around nine that morning and got into LA around six forty in the morning. I didn't sleep at all on the plane. Not until we got back home which was around, by the time I got into bed, eight. I woke up around eleven and called up about Chaucer and went back to sleep until twoish. I'm not sure what day it is... it's like I didn't have a Tuesday and a Wednesday, but a Twensday or something. I'm all confused as to what happened yesterday and today.

But I picked up Chaucer (the girls there sad to see him go, apparently he has fans there, they said he was very cute and cuddly ^_^) and he was happy to be home, and so was Pepper.

I didn't get bit at all when I was in Hawaii (unless you call the encounter with the sea urchin getting bitten) but I come home and discover fleas all over the place and now have six new bug bites on my side. Am very upset about this. Need to figure out how to get rid of fleas.

And thus ends my story of my trip to Hawaii.
