01. Total number of books owned?
Let's see... entire run of Anne McCaffery's Pern books, the Entire run of Terry Pratchett's Discworld books...A good chunk of Boxcar children books.. a good chunk of Shakespeare's plays in indivdual copies... the Hitchhiker's Trilogy about five Nortan Anthologies in English Literature.... about twenty more random English texts... ten of those Mercedes Lackey books... godawful amount of Star Trek books... seventeen boxes of comic books, including the enitre run of X-Man and his every appearance, Green Lantern from issue ninty eight to its end, JLA from one to current and a bunch of random issues and crap. A bunch more random books like Ivanhoe, Judica topics and tropical fish. Soooo I'm guessing a whole lot.
02. The last book I bought?
Pyramids by Terry Pratchet (bought today, thus completing my run)
03. The last book I read?
Exile's Valor by Mercedes Lackey (Just finished today)
04. 5 books that mean a lot to me?
1. The Muffin Munching Dragon. It's a children's book about a dragon who finds a poor kingdom that can barely make a living by selling the best muffins in the land. At first he taxes them for their muffins but then he and the kingdom learn how to share and become prosperous. I used to make my mother read it to me all the time.
2. The Hobbit. This is the first fantasy book I was ever exposed to. My mom would read me a chapter every night. I've got lots of happy memories attatched to books and being read to them in bed.
3. The Secret Garden, Black Beauty, Heidi, a Little Princess. more bedtime books. I think these are the books that instilled in me a love of reading. A chapter a night makes a lot of difference I guess.
4.Q-Squared, I sat down and read this one in books stores before I bought it. It's one of my favorite Star Trek books and taught me about tounge in cheek humor and a lot of things about writing.
5. The Age of Apocalypse comic book mini series from 1994. It's the thing that got me into comic books, 1700 odd comic books later.
05. Tag 5 people and have them fill this out on their LJs
Elvy, Teena, Artemis, Nenya and Charlie's Mum.
I think I have far too many books. No, wait, I don't have enough. Never mind.
