The assignment was to do four 'frames' going through the Getty Center. We took a field trip there. The first frame had to be an outside view of the Getty Building from one particular point. The second frame was a landscape view from one of the terraces. The third was an interior shot with the painting in frame four visible. And then we had to choose a painting to copy.

That was a hard one! But I do think it came out nice, too. So did the teacher and everyone else. Heh.

You've done a great deal of developing artistically during this class, and it shows. The perspective on #3 is particularly nice.

I do think I have, I like to think I have, but it's sometimes hard to tell with your own work if you have developed a lot. I guess that's what second eyes are for, isn't it? Now I just have to keep at it.

A good way to see progress is keep some of your old stuff around for comparison. For example, I've got an portrait I did of a Random Fantasy Aboriginal girl I did ages ago - the colors are good, but the proportions are way off, and you can really tell that it was done by someone who was nowhere near professional level. I was so proud of it at the time, but it's not anything I'd show off these days.
