If my brain keeps on insisting that the title of my fool story is "Forgotten Motley" and not "Forgotten Fool" should I change the title?

Yes. Sounds like your brain is trying to send you a message.

As my fingers keep on insisting it's one, I better do so.

I should make sure I remember to do it on the actual document and not just the query letter.

Yes, any good story writes itself, don't fight the title change.

Yes, they're both good titles but if you come back to one, use it.

I partially blame the Rp account that I created for the Fool.

Is "motley" a noun? "Forgotten Motley" reads like two adjectives to me. But it sounds cool. And if it's the title your brain is suggesting then it's probably the right one.

Motley is technically an adjective, however in this case it's referring to the motley jacket that the Fool wears. Also forgotten refers to both something being forgotten and then name of the beings that the Fool belongs to.

So it's It's the Forgotten's Fool as in the individual that is called the Fool and the Forgotten jacket of the Fool.
