There was always a fourth book. Okay, lies, but when Brisingr was announced he said that there was going to be a book four.
The big battle at the end of Brisingr was not the last one, he still hasn't even confronted the Big Bad. We still haven't even seen the big bad. Arya hasn't gotten her dragon yet so she and Eragon can be happy dragon rider lover mate things. Murtagh hasn't been killed/redeemed yet. Roran hasn't become king yet. I'm betting that he does. There's a whole lot of plot lines that haven't been tied up because Paolini just didn't know what he was doing.
Is it just me, or does that just look like a green version of Saphira with that gold dragon's scales? It's in the exact same pose as the first book too. Actually now that I look at it, all of the dragons look almost the same, except different colors.
And the cover design, ugh. That shade of green plus the bright green dragon plus gold lettering just makes it an extremely unappealing cover.
Yeah, it'd be easier to tell them apart if we saw their entire bodies and they were doing different things in more distinctly different poses. I thought the first two book covers looked okay but the last cover and this cover horribly emphasizes how bland the dragons are when they're just staring at you and looking mildly emotive. :P
Man, that cover is kinda ugly (yes, I know it has the Australian colours of green and gold. I've never liked those much either). The first two were lovely, but this one and the third one are kinda disappointing.
Hm. If the title is Inheritance, then the theme of inheritance had better become important in book four. At least that'd be my advice. But what would I know?
(Who wants to lay some bets that in book four the were-cats will suddenly and unexpectedly come to the rebels' aid and help win them the war, Ewok style? C'mon, I've got ten bucks here that says that happens. Who's with me?).
(For the record, I liked the Ewoks).
(PS: There's another book coming out in November which I'm much more interested about. I hope it has a nicer cover than this one).
Considering the "preview" chapter released a few months ago was about the Werecat King becoming allies of the Varden, and making impossibly demands for his warriors? Yeah. The Ewoks Cometh.
I'm sure Paolini is going to be slapping Inheritance sort of things all over in a ham handed manner all through the book. Look what he did with Brisingr.
"I'm naming the sword brisingr and it's special and shiny and Oh So Awesome".
Well, look on the bright side: according to the thing you linked, "all will be revealed!" So that means we get to find out such things as "why?!?" and "how could you think [insert portion or aspect here] was a good idea?"
