News of the Bird
Jun. 4th, 2010 05:30 pmWe've got a name for the new birdy: Patriot.
Since we got him on Memorial Day, you see?
We're going to call him birdy anyway.
He got to go to the vet today to get that band off of his leg and make sure he's healthy. He's got mites. Which requires injections for a while until they're gone. We're glad we caught that.
They've got a nice insurance like thing at the vet we went to. 100 dollars gets us a bird exam, a PCV, stool test, two wing clippings, three nail trims and two beak trims. Plus $250 half off of medical stuff. So if we get it, the injections will be half off until we use up the $250 and then it'll be %10 off.
Not a bad deal. We'll probably get that the next time we go in for his injections.
They have a similar plan for cats that includes all their vaccinations.
Thus ends our birdy update.
