We're getting a new parakeet for my mother's birthday. She's been saying that she misses having a bird around. So I finally convinced her that yes, a new parakeet would be a good thing to get.

Yay!

I have to bleach out the cages first; they've been sitting outside for over a year with other birds and squirrels hanging out on them.

They are! Especially when they sing with my mom as she plays on the piano. (usually they flee in terror when she's practicing the clarinet. Okay, only one did that)
