I created...
Mar. 2nd, 2009 10:01 amJust a bit of glee writer accomplishment and patting self on back.
I had a couple of people utterly unfamiliar with my work and Alec's world read a short story about Alec and Jono getting kidnapped. They liked it but what really tickled me is that they wanted to know more about the world. They wanted to read more to see more of the world. It was realistically done enough that it felt real and they wanted to explore it.
Also I'm RPing with someone and her pup made friends with Alec who took her for a shopping trip into his world. She said that they should do some sort of plot there because my world was so much fun.
This is real writer satisfaction here. Real fantasy writer satisfaction. To know that I created something, that I crafted something, so well that it's interesting enough to want to visit. Even after reading a 2000 odd word short story which took place in one setting where the main characters spent the entire time tied up. That one glimpse left them hungry for more.
I feel happy and confident now.
