And I'm feeling weird today.

This has been bouncing around in my head for a bit. Don't know why. It's weird that I have desires to write fan fiction of my own stuff, isn't it? So, a Princess Fic, with footnotes!
Princess Melona Lilly of Lancoon stood on the top of one of the towers of the castle walls [*] looking out at the large ports which was one of the countries biggest assets. Here, they received goods from all over the world. Her long ebony black hair, which she inherited from her mother, waved in the wind like a banner, and her dark gray eyes which sparkled like stone took in everything she saw. She wore a pale blue dress with long sleeves and pearls sewn in around the low cut collar, showing off her ample and large breasts. The dress bothered her mother so,[*] which is one of the reasons why she wore it. Melona stood at just about five feet, with fine but slim curves and dusky skin that drew mens eyes to her. She ignored them all. Unlike her mother, she wanted to marry for love. [*] And so far, no man excited her or made her feel wanted beyond her position of crown princess. She could, in the air, feel a twinge of the magic that she got from her mother. The ability to hear the elements.
And it was elements. For like her uncle Alec, she could hear all four of them. Not that she told anyone. [*]
Turning from the sea and free air, she turned back into the castle. It was almost dinner time, and her uncles were here visiting. Both of them at the same time, a rare occurrence. She hoped she could talk to Alec in private.
"Princess! I've been looking all over for you! We'll barely have anytime for you to change!" her maid, Sal cried out, catching Melona by the arm and dragging her off to her apartment. Here luxury reigned. Dark woods made up her furniture while bright tapestries hung on the wall. A large fire place crackled with dancing flames. Sal pulled out a shimmery gown that seemed to go from green to blue. Made by witches and highly expensive. It was far more conservative that Melona would have liked, but she had to look proper. She wished she could wear a simple tunic and leggings, but as her mother told her, wasn't proper at all. [*] A bit of make-up and a setting of a gold necklace, and Sal pronounced her ready.
Taking a deep breath, Melona walked down to the family dinning room. Here it was far less formal than the formal dinning room where her parents conducted state dinners with dignitaries. The table held enough room for family and was actually rather cozy. Her uncles, Alec and Greywolf were present as well as her parents, Laruna and King Phelps. Phelps' royal bard (and secret lover [*]) Mir, stood at his side. Her mother sat at the king's side, looking tired and pregnant. Melona had three younger siblings and a fourth on the way. Pregnancy always took such a toll on her mother. With four children already, she wondered why there had to be a fifth. Perhaps to prove her worth. [*]
Surprisingly, General Orion was in the room. He lounged in one of the chairs, his slave sitting on the floor behind him, looking miserable and bruised from his latest beatings. [*] "Princess," Orion said with a smile, "It's good to see you."
"General," Melona said coldly. She despised what Orion did to the boy, but no one but her seemed to notice or care. They didn't even try to free him.[*] Alex gave her a smile and then was hit soundly by Orion.
"You shouldn't do that," Melona said sharply.
Everyone looked at her.
"Melona," her father said softly, "It's not your place."
"It doesn't matter! He's beaten Alex black and blue! I'm surprised he's still alive[*]!"
"Melona!" her father's voice raised sharply, and dangerously. "We'll talk about this later."
"Yes," Orion said, an amused smirk on his face, "We can talk about it after we're married. sup>[*]"
[*]
Actually, Lancoon has a palace, not a castle. No, I don't know why I'm doing these.
[*]
Actually, wouldn't, her mother loves to wear skank.
[*]
True, as of this writing.
[*]
Quite possibly true. Though it'd be more likely with Alec's kids.
[*]
Utterly wrong. Laruna would be mostly likely be found in tunics and leggings about the same amount of time she spent in a dress.
[*]
Mir's relationship with Phelps is not a secret at all.
[*]
More likely she'd make herself useful doing government things as opposed to trying to get pregnant.
[*]
Alex likes his beatings, they make Orion happy.
[*]
Slavery is institutionalized in Lancoon. There are laws set in place to protect slaves. As Alex willingly stays with Orion and enjoys it, there's nothing they can really do about that. They don't know that Orion brainwashed the poor bugger. He's also fudnucking insane and Orion's the only one keeping him in check.
[*]
Orion'd never beat Alex that badly, it'd ruin sex. And besides, he loves Alex.
[*]
*laughs* Oh yeah, like that'd ever happen. Only in FanFic.
