About two years ago I wrote this list of things I think fan girls will do to my world. While rereading it on a lark I discovered several entries were no longer true:

* Alec falling for someone who is not Verra
* Jono really loves Alec and is nice to him
* Jono's really a nice guy
* Evil Verra
* Verra abuses Alec
* Verra/Lorac
* Jono's an asshat... wait.. he already is one... never mind.

See canonically now, Alec is no longer in love with/married to Verra, as she's been replaced with Jono. So fan girls making Jono really loving Alec and being a nice guy is canon. So, they'd be keeping him in character. As long as they also keep him an asshat. As much as Jono cares about Alec, he is still an asshat. I don't know why, but he is. Ah well, that's characters for you.

As canon has changed, I provide for you a new list

• Alec will be come competent with his powers


• Alec will become even more powerful than he already is, god like.


• Alec will be able to use life magic


• Alec will be descended from all fifteen First Families. but his siblings are not (no, I'm not really sure how that works)


• Alec is really a half dragon/fey/angel/witch/wizard. (No, I don't know how that one works either. )


• Alec can use all five champion's weapons.


• Alec will live in a mansion or a palace


• Alec will take over the council because they are Evil.


• Alec will fall for the Mary Sue


• The Mary Sue is a descendant of all fifteen First Families


• The Mary Sue will be able to use all five champion's weapons.


• The Mary Sue is a half dragon/fey/angel/witch/wizard who is an Empath/telepath/Oracle
• The Mary Sue will help Alec defeat the great Dark Lord (even if there isn't one)
• The Mary Sue will be Alec's One True Love


• The Mary Sue will be Greywolf's One True Love


• The Mary Sue will be Orion's One True Love


• The Mary Sue will be Mir's One True Love


• The Mary Sue will be king Phelps' One True Love


• I'm not to sure about Alex's One True Love... but you never know.

• Mary Sue stops Pentarch from being destroyed despite the fact that it'll stop Alec's city from being created and thus Alec being born and thus Alec going back in time to meet and fall in love with Lorac and thus Alec not leaving and driving Lorac insane thus not letting Lorac try and destroy the city to gain enough power to live until Alec is born and guide him into being the person he is that Lorac met. Time Loops are FUN! =D

It's complicated and involves time travel, amnesia and other the Fey.

Alec's sent back in time and they take away his memories of who he was and so he can fall in love with Lorac not realizing that he's already in a relationship.

I had the same weird experience in my universe. two of my friends (who are both rabid yaoi fangirls) decided to take opposing sides in a gay love triangle i was writing. i had my dark, hurt-comfort! friend support the dark, hurt-comfort pair while my kinky-yet-sweet friend supported the kinky-but-they-love-each-other couple. and then wouldn't ya know it, the poor man in the middle of all this revealed that he's STRAIGHT. and a "breeder" no less, having children with his wife. it's a funny little world. still makes them irritable to know they won't get any hawt smexxors.

my favourite couple to write now is a completely unorthodox pair of men, both over forty, one's overweight and the other is fugly. and they are the sexiest couple in the book! it's a shame when people get all squicky about "old people sex", i mean hello, when the fangirls get old (aka past 30) they'll still want to feel sexy and enjoy it in others.
