Executioners Alec and Jono

"Tell me again why we're doing this?" Jono asked as he watched Alec stare into the city. He chewed absently on a piece of grass and leaned on the house next to the wall they were sitting on. Sturdily built with auburn hair, round face and almost golden hazel eyes, Jono completely opposed Alec's lithe and fey looks with dark brown eyes and black hair.

Alec barely looked at him before saying, "Because he annoys me."

"I annoy you, but you don't try and kill me," Jono pointed out.

"You're a good lay."

Jono snorted. "Thanks."

This time Alec turned around enough to flash him a smile. "Only reason why I let you put the collar on me." He tugged lightly on the collar around his neck with the Oracle's sign.

"You're my consort, how else am I supposed to let everyone know?" He gazed out at the city and the multiple banners of lions and dragons. Though the dragons didn't look like proper dragons at all. Apparently each one meant a different faction. In the streets themselves were those strange desert dwellers or something who followed the dragon banner. Alec had tried to explain it to him, but his eyes glazed over once he started getting into those people who came back after a thousand years or so claiming that the places they left were still theirs. Idiots he thought idly. Who actually thinks they have claims on abandoned territory after such a long time? This entire place is crazy. Such lunacy was one of the reasons why he agreed to go along with Alec on this.

Normally he was against things like murder, but in this case it felt like putting the people out of their misery.

"Ha!" Alec crowed triumphantly. Jono sat up to look. "Over there." Following the pointed finger, Jono saw a man about their age with bright red hair surrounded by some of those shield maidens.

More for Alec's annoyance then actually feeling that way, he said,"He's kinda cute." The dirty look shot his way was completely worth it. "So, how are you going to do it?"

Alec's grin was only mildly disturbing.

Apparently this annoying person, a Rand al'Thor, was such a great swordsman that he constantly needed new challenges. Often times he would fight off ten or more men as a warm up. Alec, being Alec, decided that this was the most opportune moment to kill Rand. Jono had given up on trying to convince him otherwise. Even calling him an egotistical show-off didn't work.

So, instead, they had sex the night before.

As Alec said, it was damn good sex.

In the morning Alec presented himself as a challenger to fight with Rand. Jono, having all the martial skills of a rock, would merely watch and cheer his consort on. He would have liked to cheat by helping Alec perdict what Rand would do, but Alec warned him against that. First becuase it would ruin his concetration and second because men who could wield magic was a Bad Thing. Jono thought this too was idiotic. He contented himself by sitting next to one of the shield madiens who gave him a sideways glance at his hair. He smiled at her brightly before watching the fight.

This was interesting. Most of the men didn't know how to fight in a group. Alec used this to his advantage by letting them distract Rand and then striking. He always made sure not to be where Rand swung his sword dancing gracefully among the seven men. Jono found it quite enticing and he found himself licking his lips in anticipation.

Finally only Alec remained. He'd manage to remain unscathed but bloodied Rand a few times.

"You're a good swordsman," Rand complimented. "Though I don't recognize your technique."

Alec shrugged and Jono almost laughed. "I don't think I have a technique." He florished his sword and made a sharp jab. "It's all about putting the pointy end in the other person."

Rand made an "urggllee..." noise and then collapsed to the ground. At Alec's florish and stab, he stabbed Rand right in the chest.

With a horribly not so innocent look, Alec looked down and said, "Oops." The stunned silence almost made Jono laugh. He kept it in though. Suddenly the shield maidens came out of their shock and charged at Alec.

Doing the unexpected thing, Alec didn't stay to fight but instead ran. Jono darted after him, catching up and shooting him a gring. "Happy now?"

"Yup!"

"You're insane, you know that?"

"Yup!"

Laughing Jono followed to the portal that brought them to this world.
