Brilliant Idea? Perhaps.
Jun. 14th, 2008 09:49 pmSo, as these things do, I'm working on an interactive comic book. It's interactive because I've created an LJ for the main character who is loosely based on me and some of the story will be told through Kyp, the protagonist, writing on his LJ.
kyp_da_bird Since it is LiveJournal, people can comment on his life and posts as if he were a real person. I'll be updating it, hopefully at least once a week, with bits on his life and what happenings as well as the voices in his head.
I'm hoping to have most of the first issue done in time for ComicCon where I can shop it around. The Livejournal/interactive part should hopefully interest publishers enough that they'll want to publish it. After all, there are enough forums and things where people can interact with the creators, but none that I know of where they can interact with the characters themselves. Several friends who also have characters based on them have also made LJs for their characters and I will hopefully keep those up too.
The thing is, it gives readers a chance to interact with the characters and thus the comic in a new way.
If you'd like, you're welcome to friend Kyp and comment on his LJ. If anything, it'll make him seem more alive and real.
Edit: The potential love interest, Richard's LJ is
washismycopilot and Kyp's best friend is Cleo,

...I wonder if it would be terribly meta to link him to your Eragon sporkings? 8D XD Nah, I'm not going to do that, but it's a funny idea...
