Chapter nineteen pt. two
Anita, in the previous section, is having a bad case of Author Enforced Out of Characterness. She has suddenly, for no reason at all that she knows of has gotten all blushy at seeing naked men. She finally decides that Jean-Claude is the problem. See, he's never had sex with Micah. Then there's this interesting exchange.
Basically, Anita just informed Micah, that sex is the only way to feel really really good. So, if Micah were asexual, then perhaps the feeding would feel better than the sex, because he's just not interested in sex. But of course asexuality doesn't exist in Anita land. There's just sex and not had sex yet. And if something feels better than sex, then you've been doing it wrong. Also, why is Micah trying to figure out what sort of expression he should give Anita? Is he that bent to her wishes that he has to give her the right one or else he won't get any?
And then! Anita changes her mind again about what's wrong. I believe this is the fourth time she's done it. This time it's because of what she did with Augustine.
First of all I giggle at the word snogging. Second, I would think it would be "I never seen two men have sex before, let alone anal sex." Because anal sex could indicate between a man and a woman or two women as well, but in this case it's indicating two men. And two men can have sex without having anal sex. And suddenly I've digressed into talking about anal sex. Why is this? Not that there's anything wrong about anal sex, but beyond this odd little order of information problem, which was, I think, my original point here I've just been somewhere else.
So, they managed to get Anita to realize that two men kissing is hawt. And so is two men having sex. Not only that, but she doesn't have to feel bad about it.
When they ask her specifically if it bothered her about Auggie and Jean-Claude she says, "No, it was amazing. We did him. We owned him. It was..." My breath shivered out of me. "It was a rush, power and sex all mixed up together."
That has absolutely nothing to do with how you feel about two guys going at it. Notice she's talking about the way she felt during the sex. About how she "owned" Auggie. Not how she felt about seeing him, it was totally about power. Which, in my mind, brings it back to what Richard said earlier about how they raped Auggie. He may have induced the aruder but, they're the ones who fed it to him. They didn't have to involve him. They could have involved one of their other usual members, but instead they took Auggie. The forced the drug onto him. They may have asked him, but he wasn't in a mental state where he was in complete control of his actions. It was, and here she admits it, rape. Richard was right.
But, that's not important. Instead, once again, Anita changes her mind about what's bothering her. It's the idea that she just has seen in truth that Jean-Claude likes men and she's afraid Jean-Claude won't be able to restrain himself with being with two manly pretty boys. Blah, blah blah, Anita flip flops like a weebolo. Blah, talking about how Jean-Claude feeds off of men because he's bisexual.
Finally, Anita kicks all the bodyguards out of the room. Yes. The bodyguards were still there, listening to all of this, without even being mentioned. They leave. Everyone gets into bed. Micah Anita and Nathaniel have sex... I think. Or Anita's just really easy to get off because just kissing and touching appears to send her into orgasm.
They decide it was fun. And Anita notices how fun Micah and Nathaniel thought it was.
I gazed down his body and saw just how fun he thought it was. He was long, and htick and ready, and long and thick for Micah was very long and thick indeed. I glanced down at Nathaniel, and found him just as ready. No, he wasn't as big as Micah, but then the only one of the men who could compare was Richard. Though Richard didn't seem as aware of it as Micah.
Nathaniel was definitely more, just as more as Micah. Not in length anyway, but in width, well, yeah. Men are hung up on length; trust me, girls pay attention to width, too. Frankly an inch or two less length wasn't always a bad thing; depended on what you wanted to do with it.
Yes. She just spent two paragraphs describing their penises. Two. Without even saying the word penis. I don't really think I need to say anything more.
After this, she wants Jean-Claude in bed too, even if he can't get it up until after he feeds. Or something, I mean that didn't seem to stop him when he was banging Auggie. But what do I know. Jean-Claude is reluctant. First because he thought she was hung up on the fact that he had sex with other guys (which she was, but says she isn't) and that she's never had three guys at once. She tells him to shut up and get into the bed. "He crawled up on the bed, and I watched his body, small and loose, more than his face. Until he fed, he'd be small, which meant I could indulge in something I didn't get to do much. By the time you get most men out of their clothes they're not as small as they can get - no, definitely larger."
To be honest, I have no idea what that means.
So, they talk about something, which I have no idea what it means, then Anita realizes that her men are no longer hard. So she starts to fix it. She starts on Nathaniel and Jean-Claude says that she didn't ask for Nathaniel's opinion. Nathaniel is all I dun care. But She's all just because you're submissive doesn't mean that your opinion doesn't count. Again, I go with the Submissive =/= slave. It's just a matter of taste.
The chapter ends with Nathaniel demanding Antia to suck his dick so they could fuck.

She finally decides that Jean-Claude is the problem. See, he's never had sex with Micah. Then there's this interesting exchange.
"Jean-Claude has fed off of me, Anita," Micah said, "has had more of my blood than yours."
I looked at Micah. "Are you saying that having him take blood is the same thing as having sex with him?"
He shrugged, and I watched his face shut down to the look he wore when he wasn't certain as to what look I wanted. "I've had sex that didn't feel as good as Jean-Claude's feedings."
"Then you were doing the sex wrong," I said.
He smiled. "I was young; I got better."
"Yes, you did," I said, and smiled back.
Basically, Anita just informed Micah, that sex is the only way to feel really really good. So, if Micah were asexual, then perhaps the feeding would feel better than the sex, because he's just not interested in sex. But of course asexuality doesn't exist in Anita land. And then! Anita changes her mind again about what's wrong. I believe this is the fourth time she's done it. This time it's because of what she did with Augustine.
"I know that everyone thinks that we're all snogging each other's brains out, but to night was the first time I'd ever seen two men kiss. I'd never seen someone do ..." I faltered. God, was I still such a baby? No damn it, I was a grown-up. "I've never seen anal sex before, let alone between two men. Let alone between my lover and a stranger." I took in a big breath and let it out, and went to the edge of the bed, a little closer to Jean-Claude. "Am I making sense?"
First of all I giggle at the word snogging. Second, I would think it would be "I never seen two men have sex before, let alone anal sex." Date: 2008-04-06 06:53 am (UTC)Honestly, do we have to hear about all this pointless sex? I've read terrible fanfic that turned me on more than this. All the buildup just made the result more tacky. All right, Anita's growing into more of a nymphomaniac than before. Whoopee.
Excuse while I go kill Anita with an ice-pick.

Some people I've shown bits to have thought this to be fanfic.
Which is sad.

Date: 2008-04-06 07:03 am (UTC)You know, now I almost want Anita to meet an asexual person that she tries and fails to control with the ardeur. Except then she would, no doubt, "fix" him. And I would be a sad bird.
Also, why is Micah trying to figure out what sort of expression he should give Anita? Is he that bent to her wishes that he has to give her the right one or else he won't get any?
Well, given that anyone who does the wrong thing gets bitched out and made into the bad guy, I can't blame him.
she's afraid Jean-Claude won't be able to restrain himself with being with two manly pretty boys.
I was going to say something about how ridiculous this is, and how maybe one person in a billion would have sex with everyone of the gender(s) that attracts them, and then I remembered that this is Anita World, where rape happens on a regular basis because she finds the people attractive and is excused because she "can't control herself", basically.
Nathaniel was definitely more, just as more as Micah.
Bwuh?

"...No."

I feel like writing a scene with an asexual character being talked into sex- not unwillingly, being curious about the whole business- and afterwards, in response to being asked how it was, going, "…Okay, but I think I've had more interesting reads. Not many, I'll grant you, but a few."
"I know that everyone thinks that we're all snogging each other's brains out…"
Really? I must've missed those parts. Could've sworn it was mostly the fucking.
When they ask her specifically if it bothered her about Auggie and Jean-Claude she says, "No, it was amazing. We did him. We owned him. It was..." My breath shivered out of me. "It was a rush, power and sex all mixed up together."
I'm kind of reminded of the dragons/riders thing in Pern. Mildly disturbing.

WHY WOULD WE CARE WHAT THEIR PENISES LOOK LIKE? Also, lady, if you're squeamish about writing the word 'penis', or its alternatives, why in the world are you writing this?
…I watched his body, small and loose…
1. IF YOU MEAN PENIS JUST SAY IT. IT'S NOT HARD, PROMISE.
Sorry. I'll put the capslock away now.
2. …makes him sound like a midget in a really loose skin. Not sexy.
By the time you get most men out of their clothes they're not as small as they can get - no, definitely larger.
…In Anitaland, all men are growers?

I think she means that their penises haven't become fully erect yet. But I could be wrong.

Also: the way Anita is talking...not only did she rape Auggie (based on the description, they basically gave him the equivalent of a date-rape drug), she ENJOYED it. She got a rush from dominating an unwilling partner (well, not unwilling, but because of that ardeur thing, he was not able to say no even if he had wanted to, and I doubt they would have listened if he had), she was focused entirely on the power and the fact that they 'owned' him. That sounds like a serial rapist. it sounds like a sociopath. It does NOT sound like someone loving.
Anita grows more creepy with every chapter...

Date: 2008-04-09 12:49 am (UTC)Even if asexuality did exist in this book, Anita would just use her magical Mary Sue powers to "heal" him via hot sex. That's what happens to the little guy in my avatar all the time in fanfiction.
