So, what's the newest Annita Blake novel out there?

Amazon and my local library both say it's The Harlequin, with a new novel coming out in June of this year.

Dare I ask why you need this information?

As I'm hoping to do one now instead of later, Harlequin it is.

Does anyone else see the irony of calling the book that?

Yes. Yes, I do.

Is that a sporking I see before me?

Yes, it may very well be!

Oh, dear gods, you're going to take on Anita Blake. This should be amusing.

My knee-jerk response was "lol, who?"

I think I'm better off not knowing, but I'll know soon enough, eh? XD

Yes. Yes indeed. Think Bad Romance Novels with Werewolves and Vampires.

Harlequin is the newest, but it's not the worst, honestly. Take on Incubus Dreams or Danse Macabre for sheer terror.

Incubus Dreams? That's the one where she becomes the "needs to have sex all the time" right?

That starts around the time of Narcissus in Chains, I think. But I don't have it on hand to look through and be sure. Incubus Dreams is almost constant sex, though, as is Danse Macabre.

But the realy question is if one should go with the origianl hard cover Narcissus in Chains where the boarderline rape happens or the cleaned up pbk version.

...I've only read the paperback. Now you're tempting me to hunt down the hardcover.

It's pretty sure the same except that she says a couple "no Micah"s and he just keeps forging ahead.

If I remember correctly she's actually really upset about it later too. *shock* *horror* A NORMAL response?!

If you're gonna go after any of them, I think the single worst written one to date was Danse Macabre. It had the STUPIDEST plot and badly written boy sex.

Pssst

Slightly OT, but as far as sporkings, did you hear the next Eragon book will be out in September?

The newest one's The Harlequin, which actually has some form of plot to spork, but Danse Macabre and Incubus Dreams are definitely the worst. It depends on whether or not you want to spork the ridiculous plots or the terrible sex more.
