Anybody know what "Gender Sensitive Translations" mean? It's from a Haggadah that came across my desk today.

I'd suppose it was a kind of translation that remembered to look for the proper gender-alignment instead of just giving everything a male whatchemecall--article, I think.

Either that or there is such thing as word-blindness that is gender-linked, and so translations for men don't use words that only women can see, and vice versa.

Sounds like it's got something to do with being Politically Correct. Maybe translating things to everything is gender balanced/gender neutral instead of being he, she, man, woman, etc.?

That would be my guess, too.

That's what I'd say too- although the first time round I read it as "Genital Sensitive Translations" and broke my brain.

I would guess that it's a translation in which the original story has been mutilated to be "politically correct" to the feminazis.
