kippurbird: (paint drying)
Below the cut are four watercolor paintings I did. The first one is is actually a still life. I did it in my watercolor class. The dragon is a stuffed toy and the LEGO people are... well... LEGO people. The second one I did in response to a line I read in a poem, I think by Wordsworth. Unfortunately I don't remember the line nor the poem nor the author of said poem. The last two are of Verra and Alec. I wanted to do a pair of paintings of the two of them. Verra's position was rather difficult for me to achieve to keep her personality. But I think it came out rather nicely.

Dear Supermarkets.

Why do you put out matzah every time there is a Jewish Holiday? We only have matzah once a year, during Passover. There is no need for you to put out Matzah any other time of the year. It's superfluous. And sort of silly. Better you should put out more holiday specific foods, like pomegranates or honey for Rosh Hashana. It would have been nice to be able to find a pomegranate today. Or a round challah. I know this would require you to actually do some customer based research, but I think it would be all for the good. You would get more Jewish Customers buying such things which, of course, would mean more money. And more money is always a good thing.

Kips.
