Aug. 11th, 2006 12:57 pmWell crap. I've been working on a summary of my novel to send out and I realized that I have some age issues. More like time ones, for Alec's time line.
In the Novel he says that he hasn't been in a relationship with another man in about nine years. But if he's twenty three, it doesn't work out. His last relationship with a man was when he was twenty one. He's twenty three in the Novel. I only said that it was nine years because he had this power that let him live longer and not age and having him live in another reality, thus letting him be married and have a kid but still be twenty three. This doesn't work though. It's not good for the world that Alec lives in. So I have to cut out the reality altering powers. Which means I have to readjust the ages.
Alec HAS to be twenty three in the novel, because that makes him still a minor. If he's twenty three then he's only been married a few years. And hasn't been in a relationship with another man for two years. Which means I have to go back and rework some sequences.
Damn.
