I figured out how to kill Superman.

See Superman is vulnerable to magic. He's also immune to bullets. So what you would need to do is get a magic gun with magic bullets. You'd then shoot Superman who wouldn't dodge the bullets because he'd thing they were ordinary bullets and BAM dead Superman.

*peers out at LJ readers*

I was talking with [livejournal.com profile] canadianevil the other day about the responses my Eragon sporkings were getting. Actually several people I've talked to have commented on about how they've become lively forums. Which I like. I love discussions about things. But then [livejournal.com profile] canadianevil said that I was becoming a BNF. And I went O_o and immediately panicked. Being a BNF happens to other people, not me. But I've got lurkers. Long time Lurkers. Which is sort of weird.

I mean, I started doing the Eragon thing sort of as a joke and sort of as a let's see what happens. Are the books really that bad? And I decided to share them with people on a couple of communities that dislike Mary Sues and Eragon. But to be honest, I didn't think that I'd be getting the response that I have been getting. I figured maybe a couple of comments here and there.

But no. I've been hitting over fifty fairly consistently which each one of them. And it's all been intelligent discussion. (Except for that one person who trolled and then was told off and went away. :( ) And it's interesting to. Things that I think people will comment on, they don't and other things they do. It's interesting to see what people think about it and how they react to the writing.

So, I guess this has been a rather successful experiment. And I'm glad to see all the people enjoying my work. (Even if it still makes me want flail about. XD) Now I'm going to go hide under my desk to get away from you all.

*flees*

Well, I can say that your sporkings really brighten up my day. And they make me laugh. They also make me despise Paolini a litte more, but he got that coming. ^_^

Just a question: why do you want to kill Superman? He´s nice, he uses his underwear over his pants, he´s cool ^_^

(And, just so you know, I figure it out a way to prevent James Bond from escaping. u.u You know how he´s always using some thingie hidden in his clothes or something, right? Well, doing things my way, the Evil Guy won´t have this problem. Of course, my way looks a lot like heavy BDSM, but it´s a small price to pay).

I don't want to kill Superman. This is just one of the things that I think about when I've got nothing better to do.

And I'm glad you enjoy the sporkings.

Or, you know, you could just NOT TAKE HIM ALIVE. It seems to me that the major problem the 007 villains have is that they take to long to kill him.

Precisely. Highlighted brilliantly in the Austin Powers movies, too.

Aw, I kinda understands that... think about it, you captured James Bond. James Bond! And you won´t torture him not even a little bit? That would be too frustrating.

Maybe for the first couple of villains.

I know, I know. But maybe you could give him a mortal wound that would take a while to kill him? Gut him, or something.

I don't comment as much as I should because I'm normally peeking in during my down times at work while trying to hide the fact that I'm not doing any work. So I lurk, but intentionally I promise! :)

As one of those lurkers, I have to say that I really do enjoy the sporkings. They started at the perfect time, as I had just heard that it wasn't that great, and my little sister didn't believe me, and then you started your sporkings.

Actually, I was in the library today, and saw Eldest sitting on a cart. I decided that I was better off not reading it.

Date: 2007-04-13 05:54 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] kippurbird.livejournal.com
Well, I'm glad they've been useful. And Eldest is interesting to look at, in purely the trainwreck sort of way.

I considered it, but I have problems reading badly written things. I tend to get half a page in, and then put it down, and avoid it until I've forgotten about it. Which, actually, is pretty odd, seeing as I'm still hanging around the PPC.

Bah, you merely set the stage for my delightfully witty MSPaints.

Seriously though, it's good to see a fellow English student (I think, I may not be remembering things correctly) using her skills. Too many fantasy novels need a critical read these days. :D

Yeah. I am a fellow English Lit student. Or a former one. I graduated recently.

And yes, fantasy novels do need a critical read.

Eeee! I big fan! :D

Among the masses, I happen to like your sporkings, too. I actually look forward to seeing them frequently. They're not always funny, per se (although the zombie horses are damn funny), but the numerous flaws you point out are interesting. They are more or less interesting to read.

I'm glad you enjoy the responses. I get afraid sometimes that my comments are a bit too frequently ranty as well, and thought that somewhere down the line you'd be all "SHUT UP YO!"

Be happy with your fanbase. They are fun and puffy.

I like the sporkings too. I don't try for humor but sometimes they're just so dumb that I can't help myself.

The fan base is cute and furry. XD

Just don't let the fame go to your head like some BNF. Like Cassandra Claire for example. Well I never liked her trilogy anyway. The VSD were pretty good good, but the Draco trilogy was disgusting.

You brighten up my day with your sporkings. Please do Not change. Just do not forget us small people when you become a celebrity.

I think it's well deserved fame. You've taken the time and effort to trawl through this trip- er, Trilogy, and done it very well indeed! You deserve a gold star. Maybe two if you reach the end of this with your IQ intact. ^^
