kippurbirdSo, I just finished re-reading the Half Blood Prince and was doing some thinking. After Harry leaves the tower, we never see Dumbledore's body again. Hagrid takes it somewhere... and Fawkes starts singing. The body that Hagrid brings to the funeral is covered in cloth, so we never see him again. It's just assumed that it's his body.
How powerful are Phoenixes in the Potter verse, anyway? They're immortal and definitely good with healing. They're tears are very powerful. I wonder if they could bring someone back from the dead.
Just a thought.
Other thoughts. I shall be reading Eragon soon. I hope. Whenever it comes in from the library. Not actually going to buy the book myself. Friend of mine suggested that I do a chapter by chapter analysis of it and post it up in my LJ. So I might do that. It could be amusing.
And finally, wish me luck because I sent off my book proposal to the Academic publisher today.
