Well, I finished it. I finished the Half Blood Prince.
All I can say right now is Wow.
I'm gonna have to read it again. After my mom's done with it. She gets the book after me. Lots to take in. Lots to digest.
While I'm not going to talk about the book itself, I am going to say one thing. I know where Aberforth is. Dumbledore's brother? She doesn't say it out right, but she does drop several hints.
We first learn about the brother in GOF where Dumbledore, comforting Hagrid, says "My own brother, Aberforth, was prosecuted for practicing inappropriate charms on a goat. It was all over the papers, but did Aberforth hid? No, he did not! He held his head high and went about his business as usual! Of course, I'm not entirely sure he can read, so that may not have been bravery..." (GoF p454)
On page 335 of OotP she says when Harry and Co come into the Hog's Head, "The Hog's Head bar comprised one small, dingy and very dirty room that smelled strongly of something that might have been goats." Then, when describing the barman, she said, "He was a grumpy-looking old man with a great deal of long gray hair and beard. He was tall and thin and looked vaguely familiar to Harry." (OotP p336)
Dumbledore is always described as being tall and thin. The barman looked familiar to Harry because he looked like Dumbledore, his brother. Several times in the HBP Dumbledore mentions being familiar with the barman (I don't have the pages right now, unable to find them) So, based on this, I think that Aberforth is the Barman at the Boar's Head.
