Kippur's encounters with wildlife
Jun. 11th, 2005 09:44 pmOnce again I was forced to go on a bike ride. However it was not a
complete an total loss. On the way there (There being the turn around
point) we saw a baby fox. We were riding along side La Balona Creek,
which is this big cement thingy that used to be a creek that leads to
the ocean. There's lots of birds out there (besides pigeons)like egrets
and pelicans and sand pipers because it's along side the la balona wet
lands (which they're trying to turn into housing *boos*). So my brother
is a head of us and stops at this landing for the UCLA rowing team and
waves for my dad and I to stop.
This is what we saw:
Innit cute? Utter cuteness, yes it is!
A little while later we saw the mommy too.
Who'd have thought you'd see that in LA?
Anyway, I ride back by myself as the boys ride on. I get home and take a good long swig from my water bottle and taking a look inside of it really for the first time that ride I see... A SLUG!! Yes. I had slug flavored water. With fresh slug. bleckiness to the extreme. Yes. I think I shall stick to freshly bottled water instead of hosed water for a while.
