My Alec is ... well there's Alec who is the Physical Embodiment of Chaos for the entire multiverse and thus a great big Gary Stu. He's also a bit nuts in the Terry Pratchett's wizard way of "Here's this sign that says keep out, do not touch under any circumstances let's see why it says that" way.
That's the Alec in the picture, minus his tattoo.
Then there's the "canon" Alec who is just a wizard in a semi-Victorian era techology world, but not on Earth.
Wow, you guys are required to have a lot more supplies than we were required to. Our drawing classes, yeah, art supplies, but all our graphic design classes assume 99% is going to be on computers anyways.
The fun thing about Gary Stu Alec is that he acknowledges that he's a Gary Stu and that it's a fault and failing of his. He knows that he has all the subtly of a great big falling rock, is a cheat and could do whatever he wanted. But since he realizes that, he works on not doing it. He actively works at being "normal" but it's hard. He also is not at all angsty, cheerful to the point of annoying, and severely dyslexic.
Canon Alec, on the other hand, is terrified of his own power which is considerable, completely not confident in his own abilities, will never get a basic grasp on the higher abilities that he could do and is also severely dyslexic. But he also tends to be cheerful and not so much on the angst button side.
