Congrats. (Even though it's not a paying market it's awesome that this counts and can be put on your résumé!) I didn't read the story very far because I have to stop now due to having to do actual work, but I figured I'd say two things before I forgot: One, I like that you told a story focusing through a cat's perspective even though most people would choose one of the more traditionally protagonist-like characters, and two, there are typos/mistakes--is it editable? (Probably not if it's published, but I figured you'd want to know since I would and I'm picky.) I'm happy you got something like this under your belt. :)

Note: "actual work" meaning I was reading your story while at the office, haha.

Like I'm responding to your comment while at work? XD

1. I would think the story from Trever's POV would be quite dull, at least in the later parts.

2. Bugger all that for a lark.

KITTY!

I see you took it in a slightly different direction than initially mentioned (clean vs messy humans.) I really like it though I also noticed a bunch of typos through-out. If you can edit it after having it put on their site, I'd recommend it. I found the typos distracting and at least once or twice had to stop and think what word was actually meant. But otherwise it was very cute and very much like a cat. :I XD

I don't have time to read it right now, but I've converted it to epub for later. Did you want me to upload it so that you can link to an epub version for your other friends?

Oh, I like that. It has a lovely lilt to it, a nice flowing rhythm like the sway of a cat's tail.

And I've come to agree with Veena - people don't won cats, cats own their people! LOL Lucky for Trever that Veena claims him, and is more clever than he is.

Seeing as how you live with four cats? I would think you would be the expert on it.

Yes, Trever is very lucky. Though who knows what they'll do with a fairy servant.

For the nook, primarily, although I hear ipad can also read epub format.

I did not know that you could do that.

I suppose that'd be all right.

Seven, actually. XD

No telling - although if Veena has anything to do with it, their house will be getting considerably messier. LOL

Yes. I mean, I might be misremembering. All I recall is when it was being mildly discussed many, many posts ago, there was a mention of wanting a fairy servant to keep the litter cleaner since the humans were lazy slobs. Or maybe that was my comment in response to the general idea anyway.

Either way, I like it as is. Poor humans... they are in for an unfortunate surprise when they find out why she wanted the fairy servant. Could be a cute idea for a sequel short story (but maybe not.) XD

Apparently there are a lot of ereaders that can read epub. I think it's going to become one of the major formats in the future, alongside pdf. 8)
