I'm getting far too much amusement out of this than I probably should. I went to the boffer LARP Dying Kingdoms yesterday and came into possession of a fish. A returning fish.
Let me explain. Two games previous I read a book that was not meant for Fish nor Man. A squid guy had come up to the eating area (it was an overnight game) with the book and several of us started talking to him. The book the squid guy, Hissk, said it was not for man nor fish to read. Out of us there, there was a man, a half mermaid, and myself. I was neither man (going on the Eoywen line of reasoning) or fish so we decided that I should give it a read. Forsooth! It was filled with things like the Necromican complete with tentacles. Of which my poor PC is now having bad dreams about.
This game, I was given a fish. A returning fish. No matter what I did with it, it would always return to my pockets. I got it traded away to fairies, came back to my pocket. I had one of the other people who had a 'magic eating' ability try and eat it, it showed back up again. It just won't go away.
It's fantastic! I love this fish. OOC I have named it Herman. I have to get a fish prop now. Apparently it is also a live fish that is merely ... sleeping.
Fishy fish!
