There is a distrubance in the Force
Mar. 7th, 2008 12:52 pmI come into work today, expecting it to be another Gargh sort of day. Dull with the usual bitching in the background. But instead, I get something special. I boot up my computer, sit down and then the Evil Bitch From Hell walks in and starts talking to the two student workers back here.
She says that if they want to do a walk out, she would completely support them. That seemed rather... anomalous, of course. Why would there be a walk out? Yes, this isn't the best place to work, but I haven't seen any thing that would cause a walk out. I wait for EBFH to leave and then go ask one of the students what's happening.
He tells me it's like a prison there and then goes on to explain that the student supervisor sort of person was trying to shush I'm not sure if she was a worker or a patron, because she was talking too much. Bossman apparently saw this and went up to his superiors. Supervisor isn't allowed to converse with students on anything but work. Supervisor then is called up. This is his third strike and he could get fired.
Which brings us back to the walkout. The students were thinking about walking out if Supervisor gets fired. Supervisor comes back and it doesn't look like he's been fired. But he then he says that they can't fire him for talking to people.
Actually they can. In the employee handbook it says that they can terminate you for any reason at all. But that's neither here nor there.
The point is that EBFH seems to be trying to stir things up and cause trouble and I have a very bad feeling about the future.
To make things even more delightful, Supervisor just came in a started talking about how one of the reasons why people might go postal is because they're not allowed to express their anger.
I'm not feeling safe...
