I liked the first couple of books. I mean they weren't great, but fun reads. But now they just seem out of control.

And I plan on sharing EVERY BIT with you.

Mwahahahaa

Because I wasn't sure what exactly you were talking about (though I had an inkling) I googled it.

The only positive thing I found about it is that nobody dies. (Which might be a bad thing, now that I think about it.)

Good luck!

I don't think I can have any more mental trauma than I've already gone through with these books. It looks like it will be blood.

Well then you will have to come visit so I can... beat you, or something.

You take those and I'll show you a Jane Austin/Lord of the Rings crossover.

I didn't buy it. I'm checking it out from the library.

Oh! Oh, good. I must've missed the library part, sorry.
I wouldn't want my friends wasting money on LKH.

And I will be here to provide hot chocolate and comfort since i all ready went through my brain destruction with that book. Amusingly, DM was the book that finally convinced me to give up on AB.

Part of me still wonders if it's worth it to get through the rest of the Merry Gentry books, but I'm sure I'll talk myself out of it.

I read the first one and it was okay. Though there was a lot of sex. And then it turned out that the point of the later books would be for her to have as much sex as possible so that she could conceive. It leaves me to wonder what Hamilton's sex life is like.

See, I can handle the Merry Gentry books because Hamilton just comes right out and admits that it's nothing but sex, that the character needs to conceive or die. But wow, it's taking forever and a day. Apparently it's very difficult for a Fae princess to get pregnant even with four dozen different men spooging in her every night.

From: [identity profile] kippurbird.livejournal.com
If she got pregnant then how would she have massive amounts of sex?

Well... uh, I hear sex during pregnancy can get kinky...

Oh, hey... I just read a bunch of spoiler reviews for "A Lick Of Frost," and it looks like the wait is over. Maybe I'll start reading again.

Are we talking about the Hamilton novel? So many things have used that title that I get confused (Camille Saint-Saens wrote a beautiful piece of music by that name; I recommend it).

I bought one of her novels once, used. Then I realized what I'd done and gave it away without reading it. So glad I have you to endure these horrible books so I don't have to!

I can't do the Merry Gentry books. I like good smut, with Plot and everything. I tried to read The Black Dagger Brotherhood series but got bored after the 3rd one. I love the Kushiel books (see icon) and The Black Jewels Trilogy. I started reading the Blake books, and the first couple were good, so I read more... and then they got REEEEAAAAALLLLLYY bad, but I hate skipping books in a series so I pushed through it, and the latest one (The Requiem) was actually okay. It had PLOT and everything lol
