Dinner topic for tonight: Cholera.

Nothing quite like diseases for dinner conversation. Especially ones involving excrement and people knowing their going to die.

And then my mom brought up that there was this camp somewhere where the women were segregated (she doesn't remember where) and when they got a bladder infection they weren't treated and so they knew they were going to die too.

We had chicken for dinner.

Also I got to feel old today. I was at a meeting today and I was talking with this kid who was upset that he was going to miss a TV show of his. And I said, "That's why they invented VCRs" and he looked at me and went "You meant TiVo, right?"

I've had conversations like that at dinner. "Hey mom, did you know that everyone has lice? I saw this thing about face lice on TLC..."

Kids are making feel old more and more these days, and I'm only in my 20's. I bought this TMNT DVD at the mall, and the clerk said, "What's wrong with them? They look so GAY!"

Me: That's how they looked in the 80's.

Him: They had ninja turtles in the 80's?

Me: Uh, yeah.

Him: Wow! They're old!
