I submitted my little used Eragon ([livejournal.com profile] saphiras_rider) pup to [livejournal.com profile] theatricalmuse. FEAR MY INSANITY!

Edit

I will not write a paper about bible fan fiction and submit it to Religion and Literature.

*uses appropriate but utterly irrelevant icon*

I won't tell you about the story I started at one point about the lost ten tribes having traveled to a fantasy world which fell apart due to lack of information and my unwillingness to take on the research to make it realistic enough for my standards.

Bibleslash would scare people in the best possible way, though!

Last year, I almost wrote Nietzsche/Freud slash as a paper for one of my classes.

The year before that, I DID write Sophocles/Dante crossover fanfiction for one of my papers.

Bible fan fiction could be fun.

But why not? Bible fic is just asking to be jumped on by academics (they've done Buffy and Due South and a bunch of others so why not?) and I think you'd bee good at it. I mean I'd read that article if I saw it in there - or any journal for that matter.

Bad, is what you're trying to say. It probably would have been an out and out disaster.

I never could make it work to my satisfaction anyway. ;)

No, it probably could have never worked well at all. The cast of characters would be too huge for starters...

Well, it was set centuries after they'd migrated. So small cast of characters, but it was mostly an exercise in theory - how Judaism would have developed differently. But I didn't know enough about the historical basis to theorize with any accuracy.

The whole setup was a mess and would have fallen apart like a house of cards, if I'd tried to do anything with it.

Oh... well, that would be interesting. I imagine it might have developed like the Ethiopian Jews' society.
