Now I know I have problems with spelling. But still, I also know that I get meaning derived from how a word is spelt. Like Knight vs Night. And so I say that this is a very bad idea. After all I think kids would get more confused when the encounter words that are spelt the old way and not the new way and not know what they meant so then they'd have to learn the old spelling anyway.

It's pointless.
