D&D update.
Jun. 30th, 2005 11:28 amSometimes I wonder why I do these, but then again, I don't really care what you all think. HAH! ^_^
So last night we killed off one of my D&D characters. It was Phoenix. He was the first one I ever really played. He was an insane charismatic half-elven sorceror with the blood of the King of dragons in his veins. He was chaotic neutral when I played him. He went evil though and became an NPC. In our current campain he was one of the big bads that we had to fight against. He was teh!evil and quite good at it.
So last night was the big show down between us and him. We had a sword created that would hurt him badly enough for us to take him down. Matt's character (the Wizard Xel) wasn't there, mostly because Matt wasn't there, but also because he was holed up in his tower like a chicken shit. Thankfully since Matt wasn't there, Vauld wasn't put into play. Vauld is Matt's Lasher that is basically created to one up Ryan's Samurai in thinks like damage and inniative.
So going into the cave where Phoenix was, first we fought some fire elementals. Then some sorcerors. Then we fought Blacky, a Lich that used to work for Theo's (my guy's)dad (and apparently went down in the world working for Phoenix, as Theo said.^_^). When we defeated Blacky, Theo took a theraputic moment and stompped the shit out of the remains. He had issues with Blacky.
And then finally we came to Phoenix himself. Not before discovering that the Dragon King had turned into a VERY dead skeleton. Phoenix wasn't too happy about that. We were.
We engaged Phoenix and I learned the lesson that having improved evasion ROCKS! If it wasn't for that, I would have been quite dead. It turns out that's what happened to Ryan and Tracy's characters. Phoenix Metor Swarmed them, among other things and took them out. (Actually Tracy's character was just dying, but yeah, still not useful.) So it ended up being me, the Samurai's apprentice and the Samurai's manservant against an adult red dragon. And with a spectacular sneak attack roll (which wasn't really a sneak attack, I just got it because Phoenix was being flanked) I dealt the killing blow. I then chopped off his head and left.
I'm sort of sad though because I don't like killing off characters and I am fond of Phoenix, my little psycho. Theo's happy, but then again Phoenix basically told him that when he ruled the world, Theo could be his concubine. Heh.
On a completely different note I think that people who willingly go on Jerry Springer should be sterilized.
