Well I'm back
May. 29th, 2004 09:12 pmI went to San Fransisco and made it home alive. The conference went well, the speech went excellently and I didn't get sick!
My brother did come along, he wasn't as annoying as I thought he was going to be. Though his impersiantions of Pepper is starting to get on my Nerves. Perhaps it's because he's anxious or something, I don't know. He's in the shower now too which really sucks because I want to go and take one. And he always leaves the bathroom steamy and nasty.
The Conference was nice, though they didn't have any food there. How can you have a conference with out any food? That's what I want to know. We ended up going out for every single meal, of course. And we could barely find anywhere to eat. Walked up and down the streets of San Fransico without finding a single decent place to eat. I hurt my foot too.
My talk went well. I luckily ran to Dr. Stallcup who's the Graduate Advisor at CSUN who also was helping me with my paper and spoke on the same panel as me before the panel. We talked over my paper and she gave me some pointers and helped me fix up some stuff, adding some things about American Literature and things like that.
There were only about ten people in the room which was okay. Though there was this one guy who started laughing while I talked. Apparently the absurtiy of some of what I said got to him really bad. But my paper got the most questions. Some one brought Freud into it and used words that I didn't quite understand, but I think I got through it alright.
Afterwards we went trampsing around SF, we went to Pier 39. I went on the Merry Go Round, I love Merry Go Rounds. We looked at the Aquarium of the Bay too and there were many Fishies!! Whheeeeeeee!! Me like the fishies. They were so pretty. We took the cable car and stopped at the Cable Car Museum which was neat, if noisy. The cables that moved the cars were spun around in the museum.
Finally we came home today.
And my Dad took us to see Shrek 2. It was hiliarious. Puss in Boots rocked. Shrek Rocked. It all rocked.
And I think I'm going to go and try and find something to eat.
