Y'know, I cannot get past a very fundamental problem here, which is that I can see no reason why the Watch would be listening to Evil Brother; Good Brother is older, he's the heir, he's got martial qualities they'd respect and he's their commander and trainer. There's also the fact that this kingdom apparently has nothing in the way of a legal system, since the Watch Captain doesn't even suggest a trial, or even torturing him for information or locking him away in the dungeon; is 'instant death' the punishment for every accusation of criminal activity, or just regicide?
Also? I cannot believe he actually used the word 'angst'. Honestly.
