You shouldn't have. The book with the same title as the animated movie isn't about the story at all, it's a "scientific" discussion pressing for the existence of dragons in the past, with little or no actual evidence and enormous gaping holes in the "science" involved.
The movie still made me go through a whole pile of sporks and bleeprin; in some ways it's as bad as Eragon. -.-
