This is an utter brainfart. That is all.

The scene appeared to be a generic fantasy world. We were in a large valley with a mountain city made of marble. The Jurisdiction had set up camp about half a kilometer away from it. The camp was busy with a flurry of people examining texts. When I entered the camp I was brought over to Landsbury, the liaison to the PPC (an group that looked after fan fiction and trimmed out nuisances known as Mary Sues that often ruined literature by their mistakes). Behind him I could see a group of PPC agents dressed in their rag tag uniforms, bristling with weapons.

"What's the story here?" I asked.

"Well Thursday, it's like this. The PPC thought they had themselves a Stu in a horrendous crossover fic, but it turns out he's not."

"Then what is it?"

"It's a generic gone rogue. He calls himself Eragon. Apparently he's gone through hundreds of fantasy novels and cut out bits and pieces to make his own world, changing names here and there. But if you look at the text you can see that it's put together by someone who doesn't know what he's doing."

You oughta have someone work that idea up as a comic. Like the Piratemonkey classic.

You wrote Thursday Next detective stories AND you mocked Eragon.

I love you. Have lots of E-cookies. *bows before your great greatness.*

I'm currently in the process of rereading the Eyre Affair and my mind was wandering around the whole Thursday Next world and it kind of crossed paths with Eragon... and yes.

Best one is Something Rotten followed by Well of Lost Plots. Because Hamlet is love.

Although to be honest, I love EA too because I have a fictional character crush on Edward Rochester.

Have you read the Nursery Crimes series?

I'm planning to reread the entire series. I'm rereading this one in in cushion factor from Eragon. Then during Eldest I shall reread the rest of the series.

No, I haven't read the Nursery Crimes series, but I imagine they're good.

Nursery Crimes are AWESOME. You know the whole detective thing in Well of Lost Plots with Jack and Mary and how the Nursery Rhyme characters are on strike? That's the basic idea of the series. The first one is about who killed Humpty Dumpty and whether or not he was pushed from the wall or not.

And Prometheus is in it. I love Prometheus.
