Thoughs on stuff
Feb. 11th, 2004 08:25 pmWent to my first day of class on monday. Turns out I'm going to have to do Kennel Duty. And have to get up bugger early to get there on time.
bodldops thwapped me with the Sharp Pointy Spear (tm) for complaining. Apparently Her Bugger Early is earlier than My Bugger Early. I don't care. My Bugger Early is still bugger early for me.
In other news, good news, my Thesis director finally got back to me. I get to see him on Friday and have to get up somewhat Bugger Early. But I shall be gettin my first draft back. And I can really get started on my second draft. I have twelvish pages so far. So that's good. But more is better.
*sighs* Unfortunately I can't take a painting class I wanted to. Takes up too much time. *sighs again*
In other news I went to a lecture on the Crucification of Jesus at University of Judaism. Now I suppose you're wondering why is a nice Jewish Girl like myself going to a lecture on the the Crucifiction? Well for starters it was free. Nothing quite like a free lecture. And I was curious about it. It was put on because of Gibson's upcoming movie, the Passion.
One of the lectureres (who were all Christian) mentioned that Pontius Piloit was an evil bastard who like torturing folks and generally being mean. Another lecture mentioned that Jesus wanted to suffer. He had to suffer.
I got a sudden image of Pontius/Jesus slash. A BSM piece probably. O.o
There was a Messianic Jew there. She started railing at the panel that they got everything wrong. And that Jesus was a wonderful person (though she called him Jesuha) I think she had started crying at one point. O_o Never understood them Messianic Jews. They're Christians. They just go by another name. Utter loonies the lot of them.
One of the panalists was an Evangilstic Christian. Found that fascinating. A well educated Evangilistic Christian who talked about the struggle that some of them had with Jews and Israel. See they wanted Israel to exist but they didn't know what to do with the Jews who needed to be saved... even if Israel was supposed to be a Jewish State and Jews were G-d's Chosen People.
Quiet Frankle I don't want my soul to be saved. It's fine enough as it is.
Hrrrmmm.... I don't know. I think that's it for now.
