A gay magazine came in the mail at work. Lots of pretty mostly naked men in it. =D This picture is the result of perusing the issue.

My dad's going in for hip surgery tomorrow. So, any good wishes/prayers/thoughts sent our way would be welcomed.

The 'pack is a tad high, no? The bottom row should be navel-height, I think. I mean, I'm just going based off myself but I don't think I'm abnormal... am I?

But, really, it's a nice sketch. I can't do males at all (they came out so effeminate that I just made them into women and don't bother anymore), so I like to see some well-done ones.

I'm going by memory of a Criss Angel billboard for this one, you could be entirely right!

Have you tried using visual reference when drawing them? Just to get a handle on the physic? Not for the actual drawings, but for practice? That might help.

I've tried using references a few times but even then, it's pretty iffy. If I use male references, for some reason I end up copying them almost perfectly and I don't learn and can't edit to make it my own because then I just make them overly effeminate again. I don't know, it's weird.

Ooooh, lovely hair and nice musculature. One suggestion that springs to mind is to try getting the designs on his arm to "wrap around" his muscles a bit more.

Mmm, and I like the pants. And the hair going down from the belly button. *giggles* If those parents ever want to see your drawings again, you should definitely show them this. I'd laugh.

This fella's a bit brainwashed. I dunno about Tez, he's quite happy following his master around like a puppy.
