Yeah. So...
The following ficlet is this picture's fault:

Title The Hand's Doctor
fandom Song of Ice and Fire/Doctor Who
ratings safe for all.
Spoilers None.
Summary Eddard Stark finds someone unusual in the king's throne room.
It was with a heavy heart that Ned walked towards the throne room. Court wasn’t in session yet, but he had been asked to sit on the Iron Throne for the first time. Robert, so he said, couldn’t be bothered to do so. He wanted to get a good look at the throne in a quiet moment. Something he hadn’t been able to ever do. If he was going to sit on it, even as the king’s hand – especially as the king’s hand – he wanted to get its full measure in peace.
Just as he was about to enter it a boisterous voice called out, “Would you look at that! Wow! Look at that! That is something you don’t see every day, now do you?”
Ned rushed into the room, about to scream for the guards when he stopped dead in his tracks upon seeing the speaker.
Tall and lanky with foppish hair he was dressed like no man he’d ever seen before. It was a coat, he thought with an odd decoration around his neck, trousers but no weapons, and strange looking fabrics. “Who are you?”
“I’m the Doctor. Just the Doctor. And look at you!” He waved expansively at Ned as if he was the most amazing man he’d ever seen before. “Let’s see. Dark hair… face... dour and sour as a lemon… you look like a Stark, yes? And little thing on your cloak, you’re the King’s Hand! Well how about that. Amy, Rory, meet the King’s Hand! Very important person that. Speaks for the king and all that jazz.” He paused. “No. Not going to say that again.”
The so called Doctor turned around and Ned could see two other people, dressed just as strangely as the Doctor. A man and a woman, the woman dressed nearly as scantily as any whore, but didn’t act like one. The man wore a vest and oddly striped clothing. He also had a large nose. There was also a blue box in the corner of the room.
“What …”
“Are we doing here? Well they wanted to see dragons and I knew this place had dragons… seemed to have missed a bit…”
“There haven’t been dragons for hundreds of years,” he said trying to figure out how the Doctor could have ‘missed’ this piece of information.
“Seemed to have missed quite a bit then.” He shrugged, clearly not bothered by this. “However, you look like a man in need of hand. Why don’t you tell us what’s going on then?”
