Dad.
This will probably all be long over by the time the radiation clears up enough for me to send this all the way to Garqi, but I thought I should report this to someone who has some sort of influence in the Jedi Council who isn't related to this mission. A Jedi Master, you still are, even if you no longer practice. And you still have contacts there.
First, Trev's okay. I don't know where he is or anything yet. But I know he's fine. I wish I had time to go look for him, but getting drafted really put a kink in those plans. I don't mind it so much. It's food and board and I got my own ship finally.
The thing is, I'm assigned to a contingent of three padawans. They belong to Master Yul. I'm not annoyed at being ordered around by kids younger than me. Well, that's not why I'm writing to you. I'm writing to you because they're not doing very well.
Recently they've ordered me to break into the Prime Minister's Office while she was inside it, talking to someone, because they didn't want to wait. They felt that their business was more important than hers. And never mind the fact that there were security cameras and the secretary right there.
Then there's Una, she's a twi'lek who keeps on insisting that they need to make connections with the underground here. Honestly, that should be my job. Yes, I know, I know. But mom did teach us somethings about breaking and entering. Besides, you're the one who married the Mandalorian bounty hunter, not us.
Recently they - and I say they because I have no influence over them - decided to talk to a member of the *insert name here* crime family. Why? Because they were having some legal trouble -it's a complete mess, honestly- and are being accused of criminal actions of sedition and things like that. The member of the crime family apparently has some influence over two of the judges that are currently in favor of tossing them in jail, so they went to him to see if he could... convince them to turn in their favor.
As opposed to talking to the judges themselves. They are Jedi, they are diplomats and the face of justice in the Galaxy. They shouldn't be sneaking around and talking to shady characters.
That's my job.
I'm starting to see why you decided to keep us out of the Jedi Temple, beyond that vision you had. Clearly if it is turning out fools like these you wouldn't want them to influence us. Though I do have to say our cousins and aunts and uncles aren't as foolish as they are. Maybe it has something to do with the Delvar genes?
I hope you can pass this on to Master Yul and he can do something to snap sense into them.
